Featured Blogger Babe: Alexis Kaiser of Alternative Indigo

I have always envisioned M O V V to be worn by women with the greatest passion for adventure, life, love, creativity and hard work.  Here on the blog I have started a Q&A series to showcase some of my favorite creatives who embrace those passions fully with a glimpse into how they got started on their creative pursuit and what inspires them.  My goal is to hopefully inspire you to follow your dreams and to never give up on what sets your soul on fire.  

Alexis has been on my blogger radar for a couple years now and I just can't get enough of her! She is a babe with an adventurous style and all of the passions a M O V V woman values. She recently featured her favorite M O V V pieces on her blog, Alternative Indigo. I knew Alexis was perfect for this series, so I wanted to share some of her photos that she took with her fav M O V V pieces mixed with a short and fun Q&A. Enjoy!  

Where are you from and what is your favorite thing about that place?

I am from Kaysville, Utah. My favorite thing about Utah has to be the people and the mountains. Everyone is so kind here and the mountains are not only breath taking but sooo fun to explore.

What inspired your interest to pursue blogging and what were your first steps in pursuing that interest?

My husband! At the time he was my boyfriend and he encouraged me to start a blog. Little did he know he'd be my full time Instagram hubby ;) haha. But I've always had unique fashion and decided to pursue it in a more creative way!

From your experience, what is the hardest part of being a blogger that you have had to overcome?

It's super inconsistent! I've always been employed by an employer where you get paid on the 1st and the 15th. Blogging isn't like that at all, you get paid so randomly and it's all about balance and budgeting. Which I love doing anyway so it hasn't been super hard for me to adjust. I've been blogging freelance since the first on this year and I've been fortunate and blessed enough to be able to pay all the bills necessary and treat myself and husband along the way too :) Counting my blessings.

What is your favorite way to relax after a long day?

I love to put a movie on and cuddle with my kitties and the hubby! I also love board games so I like to play those too to unwind. I'm always down for some delicious fro-yo too! :)

What song are you currently playing on repeat?

Hmmm, that's a tough one. I'm obviously listening to Christmas music right now but the not Christmas-ey song I've been playing on repeat is probably Real Love Baby by Father John Misty.
